Description
Joseph, born in Cupertino in 1603, was absent-minded, struggled with his studies, and had a fiery temper. After many difficulties, he entered the Franciscans. When facing his examination for ordination, he was providentially asked the question which he knew best how to answer, and thus is invoked as the patron of studies. Joseph was known for prayer and penance, and especially for levitating during deep contemplation!
