Description
St Brigid is one of the patron saints of Ireland. The cross is modeled after the original cross of St. Brigid, which is woven out of rushes. It's believed that Brigid of Kildaire was seated at the foot of her father's deathbed when she began weaving the rushes on the floor together to make this cross. The cross represents both blessings and protection upon the wearer.
